| | Where your donations go!
Unlike "for profit" operations, the Medical Marijuana Buyers Club is happy to publish a break down of where your donations go.
56% to the member grower/producer (edibles & concentrates)
Growing any kind of plants indoors uses a lot of electricity. Depending on your location and heat dissapation needs, up to $500/month for just a small
garden of 6 plants. Most plants take 70 days to mature. That's just over 2 months or $1160.00 just for electricity. What about time and all the other
supplies?
When you bake or create concentrates, you must acquire a much larger portion of your plant material as you are going to reduce that amount drastically
while removing the desired portions only. In addition, if you are baking or otherwise preparing your concentrate for delivery (i.e. sodas, teas, sprays, etc.),
there are those material costs as well.
15% delivery driver
As of this writing, it costs well over $4000.00/year* to own a car in Southern California. That's not including gas or the time and trouble of the driver. Just
their cost for owning the car.
11.25% MMBC overhead
According to Forbes**, in 2004 the average non-profit spent of 16% of the money collected for operating costs. At just 11.25%, we are much lower.
9% Charity accounts
We support various community organizations as well as setting aside a portion for member functions.
8.75% California Sales Tax
There just no way to avoid giving them their share...
